Matthew 10:27-28

For Such a Time as This.

More often than not, many of us struggle with feeling as if we aren't doing enough for God.
We convince ourselves that our mundane, ordinary lives are too simple, too boring, to be used by God in a mighty way. We doubt the value and worth of the work that we do and the difference we make. So we get restless. We get anxious.
We begin yearning for something more.
But that 'something more' is not always what God wants for you and me.
He has a purpose and a plan- we can rest assured that wherever we find ourselves today, it is exactly where God appointed us to be.
Friend, as I was struggling with the same thing last night, I was led to Esther 4:14. Many of us know this verse by heart, but I want to write it out here so that you may speak it over yourself today in whatever you are facing.

"And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom
for such a time as this?"
For such a time as this.
Queen Esther knew who was with her. She knew who she was, and what she needed to do- and she rose to the task.
She was bold. She spoke up in a palace that was not built for her voice. But she spoke anyway.
She did not know what God's plan was, but she knew what she needed to do. She had eyes to see what God had placed in her hands and upon her heart- and she acted accordingly.
So it should be with you and me.
We must remember that God does not always need our big acts of faith and courage, and he certainly doesn't need them to be done in the limelight. He wants to be with us in all that we do, in everything that we face, both the private as well as the public. His plans will come to pass- with or without our compliance or obstinacy.
He has a plan for you and me, a plan that we might not always see. But we can trust that he has placed us where we are for a reason. For such a time as this. You were made, fashioned, and appointed for this time. You are not in the wrong place, the wrong time. You are exactly where you need to be.
Have courage.
Trust God.
Be bold.

For such a time as this.
