Addison Crissone
Hi, I’m Addison!
If you are reading this, you have probably heard about me, my book, or my blog.
I wanted to write this note to you, my dear readers, to let you know a little bit
more about myself and my calling.
I was always the quiet, shy, and reserved kid growing up. I was very much your average wallflower,
never speaking unless spoken to and preferred to remain within the comforts of my family circle.
But with time, God took that little girl and called her to speak through writing.
I have always wanted to Write.
I don’t exactly know when I decided I would become an author, it was just something I always knew would come to be. It was a deep-rooted desire in the depths of my heart and soul- it was my calling.
But it is more than just writing.
Through my writing, both my books and blogs, I want my readers to find evidence of a living God and I want you to be encouraged to know him on a personal level- and to commit your life to him.
This was my hope when I first started publishing faith-based blogs in April of 2023, titled Flock of Grace Blogs, and it remains my steadfast hope today.
Throughout my almost seventeen years of life, I have experienced grief, hardships, and heartaches that have only proved to me the guiding hand of Jesus in my life.
It was through one experience of hardship that I wrote my debut novel, The Yellow Badge.
The Yellow Badge is a story of persistence and courage in the face of the persecution, reproach, and shame experienced during the horrors of WW2.
Set against the backdrop of war-torn Belgium in 1942, we experience first-hand the darkness of that day and age; and in so many ways, it is the same darkness that seems to encompass
our day and age today.
But in the midst of sin, darkness, torture, and sheer evil, we are faced with the strength of the human spirit and the power of faith in the face of unimaginable horror.
I hope that this book is just the beginning, and part of a future series of books set throughout different eras and years of history- proving that God is faithful from generation to generation, from past to present.
