Offer it All to Him
I had a rare moment the other day where I could sit. I didn’t have to run around and get things done, I didn’t have to write, and I didn’t even have to think about what I was writing.
I was sitting on the porch, reading God's word. There is just something so special about getting alone with the Lord, just to sit in his presence.
This is what I was reminded of as I read in the first chapter of Leviticus, where God calls Moses to give the law concerning the burnt offering.
When he was speaking of how to prepare the sacrifice in verse 13, such as how to cut it into pieces and wash the inward parts, I stumbled upon a part of the verse that I hadn’t noticed before.
“And the priest shall offer all of it and burn it on the altar; it is a burnt offering,
a food offering with a pleasing aroma to the Lord.”
Offer it all.
Far too often, we only give what we don’t want to God, of what we have in excess.
But the Bible tells us to offer it all.
Whatever it is that you have, give it all to God. Make it an offering. In your mess and in your “I’ve got it together” moments, give it to Him. Whenever you feel overwhelmed and like you’re falling apart, give it to God. Even when you feel doubts or fears that you would rather leave unsaid, tell Him. He already knows anyway.
The key is to give it all to Him.
