Matthew 10:27-28

We Must Pray

Oct 29, 2024 by Caitlyn Crissone
If my people, which are called by name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways,
then I will hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14

This is one of my favorite verses in the Old Testament. God calls His people to pray. It has been said that "prayer is an earthy request for heaven;y intervention."
Prayer enacts God's hand in history like nothing else, for prayer is humanity's conversation with God.
This nation in which we live needs prayer, and pray we must.
There are many things we see in the morning news report every day that are wicked- wicked things that it seems we can do nothing about. But we can always pray.
And prayer is powerful.
Reverend Billy Graham once said, "To get nations back on their feet, we must first get down on our knees."
As the Presidential Election draws near, we must pray.
Pray for our leaders and our military.
Pray that our leaders would have a change of heart toward God.
Pray for revival in the hearts of America.
Pray for mercy and protection.
Pray that God's Will is done.

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against cosmic powers
over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
Ephesians 6:12

Our battle is not necessarily between political parties but between the spiritual battle of Good versus Evil. Truth versus Lies.
Prayer is our most powerful weapon because it invites God's strength to take over. He steps in and we surrender to Him.
That's where we can experience victory.
But we must pray.
