In the Hands of an Almighty God

Throughout the history of the Bible, there is perhaps no more of a epic story than that of Joseph.
His life is filled with highs and lows, but through it all, his spirit remained the same; steadfast and secure in the very presence of God.
He lost his mother at a young age.
He was hated by his brothers.
He was sold into slavery.
He was tempted.
He was falsely accused and put in prison.
He was forgotten by man.
But never by God.
Through it all, God was with him- fabricating and orchestrating a plan and a purpose that only he could see.

Joseph had confidence that God was moving in his life, and this confidence produced in his life a faithfulness to whatever task had been assigned to him- because he knew that whatever it was, God was in it.
He told his brothers in Genesis chapter 45, “God sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant on earth, and to keep alive for you many survivors. So it was not you who sent me here, but God,” (verse 7-8).
He could see God's hand on his life; he knew that God permitted everything to happen to him for a purpose.

My friend, if we saw the hand of God upon our lives and in each circumstance that we are walking through, would we be so angry and unhappy? I doubt it.
No, we would face each day with faith, joy, and purpose- knowing that whatever befalls us is in the hands of an Almighty God, and He will ultimately use it for good.

May we all face today in this way.
