A lot of things in life are uncertain- a great many of them, in fact. 
And friends, I do not like uncertainty. I despise it. I like rhythm and routine, familiarity and comfort. 
But we don’t always have that. 
We aren’t promised it, either. 

The other day, however, I was reminded of one of the certainties that the bible promises us. And it comes straight from Jesus himself.
“I am the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end,” (Revelation 22:13). 
He holds our past, our beginning. And he holds our future- including our end. 
No matter what you and I face in this life, whether good or bad, he holds it all together. 
There is nothing in this life that He didn’t start and nothing in this world that will keep Him from bringing it to His planned and purposed end. 
He holds us all the way. 
And He loves us all the way. 
“Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them until the end,” (John 13:1). 

Christ is the beginning of all things- and all that was begun must also come to an end. 
Remember that He has told us he loves us- and so we should not fear anything that is to follow.
